Anti-Terror Court hands down ten years each to 5 US citizens

Sargodha Anti-Terror Court handed down ten years each to US citizens for plotting terrorist activities on Thursday.
ATC Judge Mian Nazeer gave out his six-page verdict awarding ten years each to all the five US citizens on two anti-terrorism sections 125 and 126.

Background
The US nationals – Aman, Ahmad, Waqar, Rami and Umar Farooq – were arrested from Sargodha some 7 months back allegedly trying to join Taliban in the fight against US troops in Afghanistan. They denied the accusations, saying they came to Pakistan to attend a wedding and intended to travel to Afghanistan to do humanitarian work. Maps and documents were also seized from their possession. They are said to have links with Al-Qaeda leader Qari Saifullah.
