Enough is enough

It is time that our civil and military leadership should now stand boldly and say to America, "Enough is enough" Please no more please. The present situation reveals that America wants to implant the Indian influence in Afghanistan when the former pushes out back for home. It is her planning to keep Pakistan under relentless pressure for future as well. Our ruling class has lost all credibility of differentiation between friend and foe. They should know that the Yahood and Hunood can never be friendly to Pakistan as explicity revelaed by the Quran.

The Pak-American relations have a long history and the element of ideology has played a very significant role in their inevitability. This particular thing in the whole process is not very popular amongst the masses and very few people have the ability to appreciate the role of ideology in the whole gamut. The secularists are altogether rejecting any idea of any ideological role in the making of Pakistan. The strong media supported by the ruling elite is making all its efforts to brainwash the mind of people against the ideological background of the motherland. When we put the things in the historical perspective we find that these relations had been established even before the Islamic country came into being. It was probably in 1946, when a US Congress delegation had met the Quaid-e-Azam, during their visit to the subcontinent. The Founding Father of Pakistan had assured this delegation of safeguarding the interests of America in the region through the good offices of the future Pakistan. The succeeding leadership of Liaqat Ali Khan, Khwaja Nazimud Din and Mohammad Ali Bogra had followed suit. One of the reasons for this tendency was the ideological element. It was the time when the sole champion of Communism, the Soviet Union, was a super power and was very near to India while Pakistan could be termed its next door neighbour. Today many people deny the historical fact that Pakistan had come to existence in the name of Islam but it is a reality. The two-nation theory, if not made labyrinthine, means that on one side there was the ideology of Islam and on the other there were non-Muslim nations in India. Since the Soviet Union was a purely atheist state it was almost impossible for Pakistan to give a preference to it over America. After all America was a state of the ‘People of the Book’ in contrast to the Soviet Union which did not believe in any Divine realities, revelation, or religion. The common people are mostly getting confused by the perception of secularism and Atheism. A secular state is the one where everyone is allowed to practise his religious rituals according to his belief, where the law of the land will be quite free of the influence of any religion. On the other hand an atheist State is the one having no religion and believing in no deity or heavenly discourses. Therefore to an Islamic State it was almost near to impossible to make any friendship with a state which was based on atheism. As such it is understandable why Pakistan chose to befriend America rather than the USSR. On the other hand India being a majority Hindu state, had naturally an inclination to attach itself to the atheist state in contrast to Pakistan which had the compulsion to make an alliance with the US. To this extent and due to the above mentioned reason the foreign policy of Pakistan was understandable and justified to a reasonable extent. It was however, a Himalayan mistake on the part of the Pakistani rulers to join with the US in SEATO and CENTO pacts and to trade the enmity of the USSR. The consequences of this blunder are haunting us till today. On the other hand India took full benefits of its relations with the Soviet Union but it had the sagacity of never committing the folly of making any enmity with the US. On the internal front India successfully did away with the menace of absentee landlordism which further flourished in Pakistan and was promoted manifolds. The other magnanimous achievements of India were downsizing of the bigger provinces and the preparation and implementation of constitution at the very outset of coming into being. Pakistan failed to do any of such vital things. The immediate negative effect of this was that the process of direct contact between the rulers and masses of the country diminished. For nine years the country was not able to get its constitution and it was just a corpse without head and face. Thus neither the ideology nor the public vote remained the sources of the survival and the strength of the ruling class, rather than it exclusively became dependent on the only power, America which became the source of our economic and military aid. The series of military governments and the sham democracies added to our misfortunes and America started illicit interventions in our internal affairs to which the rulers had to surrender to save their personal interest and ensure perpetuation of their rule. The tragedy of 9/11 took the things to the worst extremes. In order to get the support of America for ensuring his rule, Musharraf offered his shoulders to America in her aggression against the brotherly Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He helped America in her bloody carnage of killing the Afghan Muslims for no fault of theirs. He performed the heinous crime of destroying an Islamic dispensation in the neighbouring country. America declared its aggression as a war on terror and her forceful propaganda apparatus helped to brainwashing the world on terrorism which America had itself initiated through armed intervention in Iraq, Afghanistan and now in Pakistan. We have till today sacrificed the blood of our 35,000 people, including civilians and military both. We are at the verge of becoming insolvent since we have sustained losses amounting to trillion dollars in this war of American cause. The very miserable economic condition of the country has led the rulers to make their economic policies detrimental to common man, who is subjected to the specter of hunger, unemployment, insecurity and terror. Pakistan has become a no-go-area for foreign visitors. No outside investors are ready to invest here. Such things have added to the miseries of the people manifold leading the nation to extreme despair and dejection. Despite all this, America is repeatedly commanding our rulers with her ‘do more’ mantra. Everyday there is blood bathing of our brothers from drone attacks in the Tribal areas of Waziristan. The hatred against the Americans has reached the highest peaks in the hearts of Pakistanis on account of this naked aggression and cruelty. Our political leadership has completely collapsed and she is adamant to this national catastrophe. Our leadership has obeyed every command of the godfather during the whole decade of our agony. Now America with all her might is facing a humiliating defeat at the hands of the empty handed Afghans and is trying to find excuses to pull out of the quagmire. Since Americans have no more capacity to endeavour the stress of receiving corpse’s bags, they want the Pakistanis to die for them and get them a conquest over Afghan Taliban, in exchange of dollars. Americans are scare of death and no war can be fought without the risk of life as such they want to win the losing war by pressing Pakistan on one or the other excuse. Despite our complete surrender before America she is never satisfied with the sacrifices we are making for her. Besides planning havoc with our institutions she has started threatening us in different ways. It has now started conspiracies against our armed forces specifically the ISI. It is time that our civil and military leadership should now stand boldly and say to America, “Enough is enough”. Please no more please. The present situation reveals that America wants to implant the Indian influence in Afghanistan when the former pushes out back for home. It is her planning to keep Pakistan under relentless pressure for future as well. Our ruling class has lost all credibility of differentiation between friend and foe. They should know that the Yahood and Hunood can never be friendly to Pakistan as explicitly revealed by the Quran. There is a very big question before us now whether we should keep the status quo or should we start thinking for a change in our policies with no loss of time since we are left with very limited option now. It is a matter of now or never. May Allah help this sacred soil which has the name of Islam attached to it.
