Foreign Hands behind Sectarian Violence

RAW is well-known for carrying out sectarian terror attacks against minority Shias, Mirzai, Christians, Sikhs, and Sufis, in Pakistan

While India supported by some foreign countries has already been arranging bomb blasts and suicide attacks against Pakistan`s security forces and renowned political figures including important places, it is also behind similar attacks on the processions, key leaders of the various sects and places of worship.

In this connection, on September 2, this year, triple blasts killed more than 35 persons in Lahore when miscreants targeted the procession of Shias who were celebrating Hazrat Ali day of martyrdom. On the same day, seven people including a police constable were injured in Karachi when unidentified terrorists opened fire at the Youm-e-Ali rally. Next day, a deadly suicide attack in Quetta killed more than 55 people who participated in the rally of the Al-Quds Day, organized by the Imamia Students Organisation. Again, on the same day, at least one person was killed in a suicide attack in Mardan on a worship place of the Ahmedis. On May 28, armed assaults on two Ahmadi mosques in Lahore killed more than 70 people. On July 1, in Lahore, more than 45 persons were killed when two suicide bombers blew themselves up at the Data Darbar.

Besides these latest subversive acts, similar pattern of attacks have continued in the recent years. For example, on December 4, 2009, a suicide assault team stormed a mosque in Rawalpindi, killing 40 people. On December 28, 2009, a blast in the middle of the Muharram procession killed more than 25 persons in Karachi as the Shias across the country were celebrating the key holy day of Ashoura. On June 12, 2009, a suicide bomber killed five Pakistanis including anti-Taliban cleric Dr. Sarfraz Naeemi, in an attack on a mosque in Lahore.

It is notable that unlike the past incidents, in some cases, hand grenades were used by the culprits and exchange of fire took place between the insurgents and security forces.
Although like the past, some banned organisations claimed responsibility for these latest terrorist events, yet it is the game of Indian secret agency RAW which arranges a message for media from an unidentified place in order to divert the attention of people towards Lashkar-e-Jangvi, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami and sometimes towards the Taliban. Otherwise, particularly RAW is well-known for carrying out sectarian terror attacks against minority Shias, Ahmadis, Sufis, Christians and Sikhs in Pakistan.

It is of particular attention that RAW has already hired the services of the Indian Muslims who are on its payroll, and these agents have joined the ranks and files of the Taliban including other sectarian groups of Pakistan. Posing themselves as staunch believers, and getting instructions from RAW, these agents target religious leaders and places of worship in Pakistan with a view to inciting the sentiments of the people of the opponent sect. The main aim behind is to conduct sectarian riots in Pakistan on the pattern of Iraq.

n this respect, sinister role of Indian RAW could also be judged from some other events of sectarian violence. In 2008, in Khyber Agency, intermittent fighting between Lashkar-e-Islam and Ansar-ul-Islam had claimed as many as 1500 lives. Lashkar Islami is led by fanatic cleric Mangal Bagh who follows the puritanical Deobandi form of Sunni Islam and has close connections with the extremist Taliban of Afghanistan. Besides other areas of Pakistan, more than 2000 people died in sectarian violence in Kurram Agency, bordering Afghanistan. Its areas have been hit by fierce clashes, pitching Sunni Muslims against the minority Shia. A number of ceasefires was concluded between the warring sects with the help of government officials and the tribal Maliks, but the same proved fruitless due to the support of Afghanistan where more than hundred Indian consulates and training centers covertly established by RAW are supervising anti-Pakistan activities with the tactical support of American CIA and Israeli Mossad.

Taliban belonging to Tehrik Taliban Pakistan have also been indulged in murdering and torturing Shias in their majority areas, forcing them to flee.

There is no doubt that sectarian violence is part of a conspiracy against Islamabad. Although the whole of Islamic world is target of Indo-Israeli plot, yet the same has intensified in case of Pakistan and Iran. It is because of the fact that Pakistan is a declared atomic country, while Iran is determined to continue its nuclear programme. In this regard, US-led some countries especially India have been sabotaging Pak-Iranian ties overtly or covertly.

However, we cannot blame India, Israel and US regarding the conspiracy against Pakistan and Iran without some concrete evidence. In this context, in his interview, published in the Indian weekly Outlook on February 18, 2008, Israel ambassador to India, Mark Sofer explained regarding India defence arrangements with Israel by disclosing, We do have a defence relationship with India, which is no secret and with all due respect, the secret part will remain a secret.

Notably, on October 18, 2009, a deadliest suicide attack killed dozens of officers in the Sistan-Baluchistan. Jundullah (God soldiers), a Sunni militant group which is pro-active against the Iranians, claimed responsibility for the incident.

The Revolutionary Guard released a statement after the attack, revealing that there was no doubt that this violent and inhumane act was part of the strategy of foreigners and enemies of the regime. Afterwards, Iranian Parliamentary speaker Ali Larijani blamed the US, saying, We consider the recent terrorist attack to be the result of the US action.
Some reports suggest that in confusion, even some Iranian leaders expressed apprehension on some of Pakistan officials in cooperation with the Jundulluh in relation to that suicide attack. This was what the US, India and Israeli wanted.

While condemning the terrorist attack, President Asif Ali Zardari assured President Ahmadinejad that Government of Pakistan would provide all out assistance in arresting all those responsible for the attack, if they are found on Pakistani soil. Afterwards, Islamabad ensured a visiting Iranian delegation for an appropriate investigation in relation to the mayhem. However, misunderstanding between Islamabad and Tehran was eliminated.

While taking cognisance of the Indo-Israeli plot against Islamabad and Iran, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi had said that the suicide attack in Iran Sistan was a conspiracy against brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran. He further added, It is obvious that the same forces that are working in Pakistani Balochistan are also working in Iranian Sistan. Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Abdul Basit also pointed out,There are forces which are out to spoil our relations with Iran.
It is good sign that besides Pakistan, Iranian rulers have also understood that it is Indo-Israeli plot to sabotage Pak-Iranian ties, and is part of their secret strategic game against the Islamic countries. In this respect, Iran Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei indicated, The bloody actions being committed in Iraq, Pakistan and Iran are aimed at creating a division between the Shias and Sunnis ¦those who carry out these terrorist actions are directly or indirectly foreign agents.

n fact, America, India and Israel have been backing the Baloch separatists of Pakistan through CIA, RAW and Mossad respectively as witnessed by a perennial wave of subversive attacks on the religious and non-religious places and murder of the leaders. They are covertly supporting the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch nationalist leaders who have been fighting for secession of the province.

As regards Jundullah, in past few years, the group has conducted multiple terrorist activities like kidnapping and killing of many Iranian nationals including suicide attacks in Pakistan side of Balochistan and that of the Iran. In the recent, past, the group conducted another suicide attack in an Iranian mosque. No doubt, its militants who are especially backed by RAW are involved in sectarian violence in Balochistan. Nonetheless, foreign hands are behind sectarian violence.
